adieu!

Well, I've had this blog for 2 years now, and slowly I've come to realise I just don't have the time nor energy anymore to keep updating =( which is quite sad seeing as I used to spend hours just designing layouts for this!

Reading through it, I find that I've changed quite a lot especially the content and style of my posts- interesting to see how I've grown and matured.

So, now I'm writing my final post, and then this blog shall become obsolete as I move onto bigger and better things... I'm feeling a little nostalgic, like I'm farewelling an old friend, how strange...

But I'm not disappearing from the internet scene entirely, you can still find me occasionally on Facebook =P

its not all cutting up dead bodies...

kidding! we don't really cut up dead bodies (yet) all we do is look at them *grins* and did i mention the chemicals used to preserve the bodies make you really hungry? and that if you squint a little, it kind of resembles steak? =P

well it's coming up to that time where uni students start disappearing and turn up looking disheveled at dinner time - exams! and i'm starting to feel a little bubble of stress beginning to build... my stuvac doesn't start till next friday but already the pile of notes just from the last 6 weeks are depressingly thick.

still, it's quite strange being at uni when everyone else is already on stuvac- the bus queues are nonexistent, you can actually walk past the library without passively smoking but at least the coffee cart is still going strong!

all in all, with about 4 months of uni under my belt, i think i can finally say i've adjusted to uni life, and i'm liking it, a lot. Can't say i'm loving it just yet though... will have to wait and see whether i pass my exam first!

happy birthday Bea!

Something special for Bea: we went to the Opera House last night and watched Circus Oz - it was quite funny and some of their acts left me mesmerized (the juggling always confuses my eyes)

It was the first time I've been to the Opera House to actually see a show! And it was the perfect night to be out in the city, it wasn't too cold luckily =D

so yes, Bea's other presents included Casting Crowns CD and a cute bracelet which is meant to be a shooting star but we both reckon it looks like a chicken =P

Today we went to yum cha for lunch to celebrate, and I'm still really full! (Probably due to eating a slice of fresh cream cake before we went haha)

musical!!

Last night Ben and I went to the North Sydney G&B production of "Beauty and the Beast" - I've been hearing really good reports about it, so I was looking forward to finally seeing a school production (last time I was sooo distraught when I couldn't go to see Les Mis at Ruse!)

Upon arriving, the school hall was already packed, like literally sardines squeezed into a tin, but you could taste the excitement in the air. I saw quite a few people I knew as well! Most of the year 10-11s from my church plus Doug and JT and other NSG that I knew.

The lights dimmed... sudden hush fell over the crowd and as the orchestra started playing the first song, I was astounded that it sounded exactly like the movie. Already amazed, I knew it was going to be an excellent evening!

The costumes were beautiful, the acting was superb especially Gaston and Lumiere - those characters were soo funny - and for the singing, Mrs Potts and the Beast had the best voices. I swear the Beast sounded like he could sing in Phantom of the Opera! The choreography was visually stunning and everything ran so smoothly.

And there were new songs that I hadn't heard before! they were really good as well =)

My overall impression? soooo worth my $15!! I can't give it enough praise.

Just one question.... Belle and the Beast didn't look like they were kissing, but the one where Gaston kissed Belle and then she slapped him - hmm that looked real?!?!
