SPAAAAAAAAARRK!!!!!!

thanks to everyone who came...it was a truly sparktacular night...(sorry abt the pun) i loved all the skits especially "20 chickens in 5 secconds" and "man with big biceps has small brain" hehehe....the games were also uh...interesting... =P

Jeff's talk really gave glory to God- it was clear, biblically sound, and feedback from others was that they found it really related to them, so thumbs up to u jeff! the main points of his talk were:
1. Man's rebellion- us turning our backs on God, making him our enemy, is ridiculous because we, the created beings, are trying to win against God, our creator.

The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together
against the LORD
and against his Anointed One. (Ps 2: 2)

2. God's rebuke- God tells man off for his rebellion, his anger and wrath and judgement on us is terrible.

The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
Then he rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath. (Ps 2:4-5)

3. God's appointed King- but we can be saved from God's wrath, if we take refuge in God's appointed King- who is Jesus. If we believe and give our allegiance to Christ as the ultimate King and Ruler of this world, we will be spared from God's anger, and our sins forgiven. Christ made this possible by dying on the cross, taking the punishment we deserve, and then rising from the dead, bringing us hope and assurance of eternal life.
