3 down 4 to go

I had my first 3 hour exam today: Geography.

The skills were a bit weird, there was none of the usual ones like finding gradient, vertical exaggeration, measuring distances or areas, or scale, or comparing photos. But they had some difficult ones where you could get tricked if you forgot that winds go anti-clockwise around a Low in the northern hemisphere, and if you didn't know that winds were named from where they originate.

The short answers were alright, though I really didn't know what to write for the 6 marks on usefulness, validity and reliability and the semi-logarithmic graph was somewhat of a pain to read; but the questions on the local enterprise were easy as well as the questions on megacities.

Two of the essays i just regurgitated information as they were the ones I'd prepared for... but the one on world cities was ... well I think the markers are going to read a lot of very waffly answers, mine included. I ended up almagamating my notes on world cities with random paragraphs from my megacities essay plus the statistics from my sydney essay into one very weird response...

oh well... YAY no more essays! now just have to intensively do maths practise papers and rote learn my searches and sorts for software.
