introduction to anatomy

Yesterday we had our first prac for anatomy. Everyone was nervously waiting outside, wondering what it was going to be like.

But.. it wasn't so bad - after a while you got used to the smell. And I must say, it looks nothing like NCIS when they're doing the autopsy. Everything was sort of gray and strangely.. looked like plastic.

We didn't see a whole body, but there was one arm, a leg, middle part of the body (thank goodness, no faces) Also we got to touch what muscle, tendons, arteries and veins felt like.

It was very different to doing dissection at school... back then we only dealt with hearts, kidneys, eyes and rats. (All organs were animal organs ie sheep and cows)

I can't say I was particularly fascinated by it: but at least I didn't feel queasy or faint!
