janna and selena's baptism

It was a great day. First time I've been to Cornerstone and it was very interesting to note the differences between their baptism services and ours. I was wondering how they were going to do full immersion in a school! but what they did instead was pour water from a jug on top of their heads. It looked like a lot of water actually! But yeah it was really great to see the girls witness for Christ and their testimonies were very touching.

Afterwards it took about an hour for everybody to finally sign 2 HUGE cards (props to Amanda!) and get the presents and stuff organised. And another hour okay maybe 20 minutes to round everyone up to go to lunch. I have decided that when we all grow up- we are all going to be such asian parents because everytime we try to get people to leave, they move 2m and then stop and start talking again. oh and it took 10min to decide whether people were driving or walking!

but eventually we arrived and after another 10min managed to find everyone a seat. I felt really bad for the waiters coz we asked to put the tables together, and then we asked to put an extra table in the middle of two tables. But they were very nice and obliging! =) thumbs up to them for great service. unfortunately for the life of me i can't remember the name of the restaurant.... but it's in burwood and it's opposite a park...?

it then took us 20 minutes to decide on what to eat... sigh i think we might've been there till dinner still deciding if everyone hadn't been so hungry! haha and then there was the whole fiasco with us fighting the parents over the bill... and then they (with much experience I bet) went ahead and paid before we did! haha well it was so nice of them so we all went over to say "MM GOI Auntie MM GOI Uncle!" and probably embarassed them with our ABC chinese accent. =P

all in all it was just really fantastic to see study campers again... and i didn't take so many photos today (ppl with cameras.. i want photos!!! esp the group ones) but i had fun with the ones i did take:
