why i hate buses

had to travel to UNSW for a maths lecture today. the lecture itself was only an hour- but it took me a total of 4.5 hours travel time (there and back)

*sigh* now i understand why people want to live on campus.

but anyway, on the way there me and helen had caught the train from penno station to central and once we managed to find our way out we went looking for where the bus station was. so we waited around and our bus came 5 min early =S but we weren't really sure if it was OUR bus or not.

but we jumped on, and i quote the following convo:

Valerie to Bus Driver (BD for short): "hi does this bus go to UNSW?"
BD: "it goes by"
Valerie: "but does it stop...?"
BD: "if you press the button."
Valerie: "oh okay.. sorry it's just becoz we've never travelled this way before..."
BD: "it's $1.40"
Helen: "Concession?"
BD says nothing just looks at us. so we start getting out the money but both of us only had $1.50 in change. We give him the coins.
BD: "so did you want change?"
Both of us look at each other (incredulously) and nod.

SEE THIS IS WHY I HATE BUSES. at least on the train u know where all the stops are.

so the whole way there me and helen were anxiously looking out the window, checking the map, checking the time and panicking everytime someone got off in case that was our stop. but we made it in the end =D (alive and in one piece)

so then afterwards we decided we were going to avoid buses at all costs. so belle drove us to chatswood then we caught from chatswood to pennant hills .... didn't get home till 5:45pm! and so i have an hour to eat dinner then i'm out again for EYF..
