rejoice in the Lord always and again i say rejoice!

One of many lessons learnt last night at EYF; to find our joy and contentment in the Lord not in our surroundings and events that happen to us. And indeed, last night my prayer was full of joy and gratitude to God for all his wonderful blessings in my life.

But so quickly it seems, we quickly lose focus on what's important and get bogged down again in the tiresome work of our life. This morning I was feeling grumpy and tired, had maths tuition then ortho appointment, drove home, had lunch... and I have a lot of work to do. There I go, complaining again... my internet has also just gone and hacked itself so now i'm working off dial-up instead of broadband.

Ah Lord, how I long to be refreshed in You! Help me to find contentment knowing that one day this world will pass away, but that I will be with you forever and all the trials and pains of this life will be nothing compared to the glory that is to come! Amen.
